AIOC'2010 SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
The Scientific program of AIOC2010 is expected to have several new ideas and innovations the salient features of which are as follows:
- It will have an international flavour being held in conjunction with Afro Asian Congress of Ophthalmology (AACO) with many renowned guest speakers from across the globe.
- To accommodate sessions for our International guests, the number of halls have been increased from 10 to 12.
- Each Free Paper will have a duration of only 6 minutes. Thus it will be possible to accommodate more free papers and also allow more time for interaction and discussion.
- Introduction of E-Posters.
- Duration for the video films – 10 minutes each. The categories have been classified as: a) Thematic b) Anterior Segment c) Posterior Segment and d) General. The Theme for 2010 is REFRACTIVE SURGERY.
- As in 2009, in the forthcoming year also videos will be displayed in Kiosks on all 4 days of the Conference allowing delegates to view them at their will and pleasure. You can view E-Posters as well in the Kiosks.
- The sessions will run continuously without any break for lunch.
- The National Symposium in 2010 will be on
-Uveitis
-Ethics in Ophthalmology
- Complete Financial Disclosure is being made mandatory both at the time of submission and at the time of presentation.
- The first 3 halls have been earmarked as “Subspeciality Halls” and on the first 3 days of the conference there will be continuous sessions on each subspeciality allowing the delegates to go from the basics to the frontiers of their subspeciality just sitting in one place in a single day.
- If quantity is mind boggling – more than 200 sessions, nearly 100 instruction courses, 400 Free papers, 300 posters, 100 videos, and nearly 30 invited sessions & updates, you can be rest assured that there is no dearth of quality since the selection has been based on stringent criteria and with the view to adequately cover the entire gamut of Ophthalmology with the widest possible representation to the abundant talent available in AIOS.
- Special sessions like “Future of Ophthalmology, Guest Orations, Humour in Ophthalmology, Tips, Tricks and Traps, Current Concepts, Controversies, Debates, No.1 Pearls, What did I do differently last year? etc.,” will dwell into topics of your choice from a different perspective with the view to be educative and entertaining.
“Be there to learn, teach, interact and enjoy!”
